It was originally the home of Joel Cheek, the founder of Maxwell House Coffee in the late 1800’s. Since then, Crieve Hall has been subdivided to create a residential neighborhood after the mansion went into foreclosure.

The area is mainly residential so you will not find as many restaurants and entertainment options as some of the other more urban neighborhoods. However, Radnor Lake State Park is close by, which provides an instant getaway whenever you want. 

Crieve Hall might be the perfect option for you if you are looking to be just minutes from downtown, yet enjoy a more suburban lifestyle. Other areas you might want to consider include Oak Hill and Brentwood.
